New Patients
Welcome! We are so glad you found us. This page walks you through everything you need to know before your first visit to Kind Kids Dental.
What to Expect
Your first visit is about more than just teeth — it’s about getting to know your child and your family. We take time at every new patient appointment to understand your child’s temperament, any past dental experiences (positive or challenging), and your goals and concerns as a parent. Dr. Kasey will perform a thorough examination, and our team will walk you through any findings and answer every question you have before you leave.
We never rush. If your child needs extra time to warm up to the environment, that is completely okay. Our approach is always to meet children where they are.
Before Your Appointment
- Complete your new patient forms online prior to your visit (link below). This saves time and allows Dr. Kasey to review your child's health history in advance.
- Bring your insurance card and a photo ID.
- If your child takes any daily medications, please list them on the health history form.
- Talk to your child about the visit in a positive, low-key way. Avoid phrases like "it won't hurt" (which plants the idea) or "be brave" (which implies there's something to fear). Instead, try: "We're going to meet someone who helps keep your teeth healthy and strong."
What to Bring
- Completed patient forms (or arrive 15 minutes early to complete in-office)
- Insurance card and photo ID
- List of any medications your child takes
- Any previous dental x-rays if transferring from another provider
- Your child's favorite comfort item is always welcome
Insurance & Payment
We accept most PPO dental insurance plans. Our team will verify your benefits prior to your visit and walk you through your estimated out-of-pocket costs. We prioritize full transparency around fees to help prevent any surprises on your bill.
If you have questions about your coverage before your appointment, please call us at (503) 658-3384 and our team will be happy to help.
